As a result of severe flooding across the Island over the past few days, there will be some changes across waste services.

Natasha Dix, service director of waste and environment at the Isle of Wight Council, said: “Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the flooding over the past few days and is now facing that awful clear up.
“We have put these temporary measures in place for the next two weeks.
"We would also like to remind residents that we now have a same day booking facility in place at the HWRCs so if you need to dispose of items quickly as a result of the flooding, you are able to do so — simply visit www.iow.gov.uk, or call (01983 823777) to book your same day trip.”
